Class – Introduction to Stained Glass

• Includes: All glass and materials to complete your stained glass panel plus the use of our shop tools

You will fabricate your very own 8” x 10” stained glass panel during this class. We have a variety of designs to choose from, including a flower panel, a geometric design, a sunset, and a conch shell. All with a maximum of 12 pieces.

In the first 3 hour session, you will learn how to score and break glass using the time-honored technique, then you will cut and shape the glass pieces using the design pattern. Then you’ll use a glass grinder to refine the glass pieces to precisely fit the design.

In the second 3 hour session, you’ll assemble your stained glass panel using the copper foil and solder technique. Then you will clean it up, patina the solder, then mount the panel into a painted wood frame ready to hang in a window at home.
