Fused Glass Bowl or Tray Workshop

Create a free-form Bowl or Tray – up to 6″ square – using pre-cut glass shapes and components

Each participant will create one square, round, or flex-form fused glass design – up to 6″ x 6″. Then choose a shape using our free-form mold system.

Your objet d’art will be fused and shaped in our kilns and will be ready for pick-up the following week at our studio Glass Reflections – 3455 NE 12th Terrace, Suite 18, Oakland Park FL 33334

Workshop Duration: 90 minutes – 1 session
Perfect for anyone 12 years and up
Class size: 2 to 6 people
Class fee: $65.00 per person.
Includes: All materials and use of tools, and one kiln firing.

Available Dates: The studio and classes will be closed for the summer and will continue in the fall.

Classes are usually on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm or afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Class Description

Workshop participants will create their own unique 6″ round, square or flex-form design using a selection of pre-cut glass shapes and components. This 90-minute workshop is perfect for anyone 12 years old and up. No glass or design experience is necessary and you will not be required to cut glass.

The instructor will demonstrate various design techniques using pre-cut glass shapes, glass frit (crushed glass), spaghetti stringers, vitracane stringers, bubble-dots, and other design components. Then each participant will create their own art piece.

If there is sufficient time, you can create an additional art piece for $25 (payable at the workshop).

Note: Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals.
