The M35 Starfire Drape Mold enables fusers to create a shape that is very reminiscent of a Blown glass vessel. This blown glass effect is enhanced even more by using a clear or light colored cathedral base glass and by adding a “rim-wrap” to give the top edge a strong colorful border.

Then take this project to the next level by adding a short-stem cast foot using our C105 Circle Foot Cast Mold and one set of F500 Stackable Fusing Foot Rings to make a spectacular stemmed footed bowl.

    M35 Starfire Drape Mold

    The M35 Starfire Drape Mold enables fusers to create a shape that is very reminiscent of a blown glass vessel. The unconventional shape of this draping mold produces a surprisingly large bowl with six gentle waves that ripple around the perimeter.

    The mold is 12” (30.5 cm) by 4” (10.2 cm) high and can be used in most medium-sized kilns with a firing chamber that is at least 13” (33 cm) in diameter (or square) and 5 1/2” (14 cm) high.

    This Ceramic Mold Bundle enables Fusers to create a 10″ diameter by 4-1/2″ high bowl. First cast a Foot Disk in the casting mold then Drape the Bowl and fuse the Foot in the same firing.
